The RIDE ONtario program rewards riders and drivers of horses for the hours spent in the saddle or driving a carriage. It is open to riders/drivers of all disciplines, including therapeutic, whether competing, schooling or simply having fun with their horse! Even those who rent a horse are eligible to participate. There's no age restriction … it's for the young and the young-at-heart!
All that is required is membership with the OEF (includes $5 million personal liability and $30 thousand accident insurance coverage), and the payment of a one-time $25 program registration fee. Then, start counting the hours!
Registrants will receive a log book for tracking hours; various levels will be acknowledged with an applicable RIDE ONtario badge and a progressive reward ... from hats and t-shirts to sponsor product, and more!
RIDE ONtario participants are encouraged to "Ride Smart, Ride Safe", and wear an approved safety helmet and proper footwear at all times, and to "Take Care, Be Aware" when riding/driving on roads and trails.
