Quest for Gold – Ontario Athlete Assistance Program 2009-2010
ATHLETE NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED
The OEF received a total of 14 applications for the Ontario AAP funding program for the 2010 carding cycle. Of those athletes, 9 met the criteria set out by the Selection Committee.
OEF was awarded a total of 6 Full Cards and 4 AWAD Cards for this year, to be split evenly between male and female athlete’s competing at a National and/or International level in the Olympic disciplines of Jumper, Dressage, Eventing and Para-Equestrian.
A point system was used to rank each rider based on their competition results in a specific qualifying period. The nominations from the OEF to the Ministry of Health Promotion for funding are as follows;
