CAVALCADE CAPTURES THE SPIRIT OF THE HORSE!

The Ontario Equestrian Federation is absolutely thrilled with the success of the 2004 Cavalcade of Horses at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair which ran November 5 – 14 at the National Trade Centre, Exhibition Place. Thousands of spectators surrounded the Cavalcade ring over the ten days of the event to see, hear and touch the magnificent horses on display.

The Cavalcade program included a series of Breed Presentations, which comprised the American Saddlebred, Andalusian, Appaloosa, Arabian, Canadian Horse, Canadian Sport Horse, Canadian Warmblood, Morgan, Paso Fino and Rocky Mountain.

Also making the Cavalcade program so memorable was a number of clinics and special demonstrations including Knights Jousting, Dodge Rodeo Clown, Calgary Stampede Trick Rider, Canadian Pony Club Prince Phillip Games, Galaxy the Trick Horse, Horn Sounding, Auctioneering, Richard Thompson Horsemanship, D’Al School of Equine Massage Therapy, Equine Chiropractor Dr. Mark Fleet, Vaulting, Equine Guelph, Ontario Horse Racing Industry Association, Long Run, Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society, and the Wellington Waterloo Hunt Club.

Considered to be the most important educational and entertainment feature of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, The Cavalcade of Horses provides an excellent opportunity for the general public to learn about the different breeds and disciplines of the horse industry, where they can go to learn to ride, education and job opportunities and, for many, a rare chance to reach out and touch the soft muzzle of a live horse!

Special thanks to all of the Cavalcade Staff, Volunteers, Exhibitors and Sponsors including System Fencing, Ageless Fence, SoftStall, Surface Concepts Inc., and Glen Echo Nurseries.
