Equine Massage therapy is a non-invasive modality that incorporates hands-on manual therapy, hydrotherapy and remedial exercise, with the goal of bringing the body towards a state of equilibrium where balanced, pain-free movement is possible. Massage therapy can be applied to treat a specific problem or injury, or it can be incorporated into a regular maintenance program to promote the optimal functioning and development of the musculoskeletal system, helping to prevent future injury, enhance performance, and extend an athletic or recreational career. Registered Equine Massage Therapists (REMTs) are required to complete 2200 hours of theoretical and practical training and are governed by the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set out by the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists.

Sharon is a graduate of a 2 year equine massage therapy diploma program and has also achieved her Honours Degree in Biological Sciences. Recently relocated to Kitchener, Sharon is establishing working relationships with many wonderful horses and their owners in the surrounding regions but continues to travel as far south as Windsor. Sharon takes great pride in the quality of her work and enjoys assisting horse and rider partnerships as they strive to achieve success in ever increasing levels of performance.
Massage is a wonderful additive to training programs. Regular massage sessions help keep your horse's muscles supple and free of tension.
This increases flexibility and thereby decreases the chance of stress/strain related injuries. Massage also assists the equine athlete in recovering from the physical and emotional stresses of competition. Please visit our website for more information.
