Why You Should Attend the 2010 Conference:
The most important lesson I ever learned about flying changes came from a reiner. I never really understood the importance of a circle until I had the chance to ride an upper level dressage horse and the importance of riding confidently outside of the show ring came from my experiences on the trail. Being open to all of these different opportunities has helped me learn across all disciplines, as I primarily ride show ring hunters. As the chair of the 2010 OEF Conference, my committee and I have designed a conference that we hope will be inclusive, and relevant to all OEF members and we invite you and your friends and family to attend.
Taking place on Saturday, October 23rd at Iron Horse Equestrian Complex in Milton, ON, the 2010 OEF Conference is presenting a clinic which is designed to provide participants with four unique perspectives on developing skills and building the partnership between both horse and rider from recognized experts in Dressage, Jumpers, Eventing and Western Pleasure. Each of our four clinicians will also focus on both horse and rider fitness by recognizing weaknesses and providing exercises to help achieve their desired goals.
Across North America the trend has become ever more evident, we want to ride well and communicate effectively with our equine partners. As riders, no matter what the discipline, we have voiced a desire to create stronger partnerships with our horses. Whether you are negotiating a difficult portion of the trail, perfecting a sliding stop, galloping cross country or engaging in any other of the spectrum of equestrian activities available, it is imperative that both you and your horse are fit and tuned in to each other. So save the date, October 23rd, and come out to the 2010 OEF Conference and take advantage of a unique opportunity to learn across the disciplines.

Demonstration Riders Needed:
In anticipation of our exciting workshop planned for the 2010 OEF Annual Conference, we are currently seeking 16 volunteer horse/rider combinations for our discipline specific lessons.
Each rider must be willing and able to bring their own horse to our host facility Iron Horse Equestrian Complex at their own expense. OEF and Iron Horse will provide you with a stall and bedding for the day. A limited number of overnight stalls are available for the Friday evening. Hay/feed will be the responsibility of the rider to provide.
Each rider will be permitted one groom who will be allowed access to the facility free of charge. Any additional persons will be required to register for the conference in order to take part in the days activities.
We are looking for 4 riders in each of the following disciplines; Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Eventing and Western Pleasure. Each rider must meet both the General criteria along with the discipline specific criteria. CLICK HERE for the full demonstration rider criteria and application form.
